Office Visits

Orthodontic treatment should feel clear from the very beginning. Here is what you can expect at each stage.

Your Consultation

Every smile starts with a comprehensive consultation.

At this visit, we take a digital scan of your teeth. This allows us to review your bite together on screen, discuss your goals, and explore treatment options in a way that is easy to understand.

During your consultation, we will:

• Review your dental and medical history
• Perform a full orthodontic evaluation
• Take digital scans and any necessary X-rays
• Discuss treatment options tailored to you
• Review fees, insurance, and payment options

If you are ready to begin, you can start treatment the same day. There is no need to schedule a separate appointment.

Starting Treatment

Whether placing braces or starting clear aligners, your first visit is designed to be smooth and comfortable. Instructions are reviewed carefully so you feel confident leaving the office.

Regular Adjustment Visits

Appointments are typically scheduled every four to eight weeks, depending on your treatment plan.

At each visit, Dr. Lindsay Stearn personally evaluates your progress and makes any necessary adjustments. Because this is an intentionally boutique practice, appointments are not rushed and always run on time.

Finishing Treatment

When treatment is complete, braces, attachments, or other appliances are carefully removed. This appointment is often called a debond visit. Retainers are delivered the same day to protect your new smile, and instructions are reviewed in detail.

Retainer Checks

Retainers are essential to maintaining your results. We schedule follow-up visits to ensure they fit properly and that your smile remains stable over time.

Continuing Dental Care

Throughout orthodontic treatment, it is important to continue seeing your general dentist every six months for cleanings and routine care. If additional dental treatment is needed, we coordinate closely with your dentist.
