For Teens

Orthodontics for Teens

The teen years are the most common time for orthodontic treatment. By this stage, most permanent teeth are in place, and we can fully evaluate alignment and bite.

If you have been told you need braces or aligners, it does not have to feel overwhelming.

What Are the Options?

We offer treatment options that fit into busy school, sports, and social schedules:

Traditional Metal Braces
A reliable and highly effective option for correcting a wide range of bite issues.

Clear Aligner Therapy, including Invisalign®
A more discreet option that allows for easier brushing and flossing and can be removed for meals and special occasions.

During your consultation, we review your bite using a digital scan so you can see exactly what is happening and understand your treatment plan clearly.

How Long Does Treatment Take?

Treatment time depends on the complexity of the case and how consistently instructions are followed. Most comprehensive treatments range between 12 and 24 months.

Wearing elastics as instructed and keeping appointments on schedule can help keep treatment on track.

What to Expect

From start to finish, Dr. Lindsay Stearn personally oversees your treatment. Appointments are typically scheduled every four to eight weeks and are designed to be efficient and on time.

In many cases, treatment can begin the same day as your consultation.

The Goal

Orthodontic treatment during the teen years can improve bite function, protect long-term oral health, and create a smile that lasts well into adulthood.
